Marcella root, Leuzea is widely found in Siberia, Central Asia, and Altai, where it has been used for centuries in folk medicine and is known to be a specific herb that adds strength and youthfulness. According to the researchers, the substance responsible for its properties is 20 ecdysterone, i.e. a plant substance contained, inter alia, in Leuzea and coronary aeonium, classified as plant steroids. In the wild, Leuzea grows in hummocks in mountain meadows. The root of the Krokoszowatego Szczodrak was often unearthed from the ground by deer during rutting. In Poland, this plant is not growing and it is a little-known plant in our climate zone.

Method of preparing the decoction: 2 tablespoons dried, crumbled rhizomes, boil 30 minutes in 1/2 litre of water, leave to be soaked undercover for 4 hours, and drain
The method of brewing: 2 tablespoons of carefully crumbled rhizomes, boil for 7 to 10 minutes in 1/2 litre of water and leave to soak for 30 minutes. We drink it as a tonic tea (acting strengthening and relaxing). The green root can be added to yoghurts, cheese and other foods. There are also tinctures from the Leuzei rhizome. Thanks to the use of alcohol, much more active substances can be extracted in them.
