Spirulina contains as much as 60-70% protein (significantly more than beef, chicken, or soy), 8 exogenous and 10 endogenous amino acids, high levels of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), beta-carotene, linoleic acid, arachidonic acid, vitamin B12, iron, calcium, phosphorus, and nucleic acids - DNA and RNA. It is extremely rich in chlorophyll and phycocyanins and has a special protein protein complex in its composition, which is found only in the structures of cyanobacteria.
