"Cuor di Mare" or "Heart of the Sea" is the first 100% Italian extra virgin sea salt. This salt crystallizes on the virgin coast of southern Italy. It owes its unique character to the clean environment and the Italian tradition of obtaining salt from sea water.
The "Saline di Margherita di Savoia" salt fields are located in the National Park, which is considered to be the cleanest region in Italy. In the hot rays of the sun, salt crystallizes, which is additionally dried after harvesting. Thanks to this, it is perfect for filling home salt shakers (fine) and grinders (coarse). The monitoring system and modern technology combined with tradition ensure the excellent quality of "Cuor di Mare" salt. A series of non-iodized salts was created for all those who prefer the natural character of sea salt. Salt, which is not additionally iodized and does not contain anti-caking agents, is an excellent natural food preservative. The 'Cuor di Mare' salts have an intense, yet delicate flavor and are perfectly soluble. They give the dishes an individual character.
