Honey Tahini Eco - 185g
Description
Smooth and oily tahini is one of the most popular delicacies that came to us from the Middle East. Traces of this delicacy can also be found in Mediterranean cuisine, especially in Greek (it is used, among others, to prepare halva). Not only the taste of tahini, but also its composition deserve attention. It is based on sesame, which is a source of protein and high-quality amino acids - its consumption is recommended for all vegetarians and vegans. In addition, tahini contains valuable dietary fiber and antioxidants that fight free radicals. The health-promoting advantages of this paste also include the presence of unsaturated fatty acids (including oleic), which regulate the work of the cardiovascular system (e.g. lower blood pressure, prevent heart attacks and atherosclerosis). Our version - honey tahini - also contains honey, which has a bactericidal effect and, thanks to glucose, stimulates the work of the brain. It is completed with sea salt.
The history of tahini paste dates back to approx. 4 thousand. years. It is not entirely clear where it really comes from - it has been assumed to be from the Middle East or the areas around the Mediterranean Sea. Sesame pastes have also established themselves in other parts of the world, incl. in the cuisine of Asian countries - Japanese, Indian, Korean or Chinese. Unlike in Arab countries, tahini is obtained there from unshelled sesame seeds, which gives it a slightly bitter aftertaste.
Honey tahini is perfect as an ingredient of warming oatmeal and sweet breakfasts. Due to the honey in the composition, it will also be invaluable for baking - cakes, cookies, muffins - and desserts such as pralines.
